I created this board for a late summer brunch, and it was a showstopper. Guests loved mixing jams with different cheeses on bread and discovering their favorite combinations.
Ingredients
- Jams & Spreads: 1/2 cup strawberry jam, 1/2 cup apricot preserves, 1/2 cup blueberry jam, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup whipped butter
- Cheeses: 120 g (4 oz) brie (sliced), 120 g (4 oz) sharp cheddar (sliced), 120 g (4 oz) fresh goat cheese (crumbled)
- Breads & Crackers: 1 small baguette (sliced), 1/2 loaf sourdough (sliced), 1 sleeve multigrain crackers
- Fruits: 1 cup fresh strawberries (halved), 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup seedless grapes, 1 ripe peach (sliced)
- Nuts & Extras: 1/2 cup roasted almonds, 1/4 cup dried apricots, fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set up jams and honey
- Place strawberry jam, apricot preserves, blueberry jam, and honey in small bowls arranged evenly on a large board.
- Add butter
- Place whipped butter in a small bowl and set it on the board.
- Arrange cheeses
- Position sliced brie, sharp cheddar, and crumbled goat cheese in individual sections.
- Add breads and crackers
- Fan out baguette and sourdough slices. Pile multigrain crackers on the board.
- Add fruits
- Cluster halved strawberries, blueberries, seedless grapes, and peach slices around the board for visual appeal.
- Scatter nuts and extras
- Sprinkle roasted almonds and dried apricots in between other ingredients.
- Garnish
- Finish the board with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.
- Serve
