# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The foam transforms a simple drink into something luxurious that feels like a cafe moment at home.
  • Matcha gives you sustained energy without the jitters, plus it tastes like you're doing something good for yourself.
  • It's ready in ten minutes, which means you can actually make it on a weekday morning instead of just dreaming about it.
02 -
  • Matcha powder clumps instantly when it hits water, so sifting first is not optional if you want a smooth drink instead of a grainy one.
  • The temperature of the water matters more than you'd think; water that's too hot tastes bitter and destroys the delicate flavor, while water that's too cool won't dissolve the matcha properly.
  • Cold foam only works if you use cold milk and keep moving it until it doubles in size—half-hearted frothing gives you bubbles that collapse in seconds.
03 -
  • Invest in a real bamboo matcha whisk if you drink this regularly; it costs almost nothing and makes whisking feel meditative instead of like a chore.
  • Chill your serving glass for two minutes before pouring so the drink stays at the perfect temperature longer and the foam doesn't melt immediately.
