# Directions:
01 - In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
02 - Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract into the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until combined.
03 - Sift together the all-purpose flour and salt, then fold into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
04 - Shape the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
05 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
06 - On a lightly floured surface, roll the chilled dough to approximately 1/4 inch thickness.
