04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1/2 tsp ground cumin
06 - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
07 - 1/2 tsp salt
08 - 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
→ Cherry Chipotle Sauce
09 - 1/3 cup cherry preserves or cherry jam
10 - 1-2 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
11 - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
12 - 1 tsp honey
→ For the Wraps
13 - 4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas
14 - 2 cups shredded lettuce
15 - 1 cup shredded red cabbage
16 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
17 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, use dairy-free if desired)
18 - 1 cup tortilla chips, lightly crushed
# Directions:
01 - Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, for 2–3 minutes until just starting to brown. Introduce the finely diced red onion and minced garlic, sautéing for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant and softened.
02 - Incorporate ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper into the skillet. Continue to cook for 1 more minute, allowing the spices to bloom.
03 - In a separate small bowl, vigorously whisk together the cherry preserves, minced chipotle peppers, apple cider vinegar, and honey to create the sauce.
04 - Pour the prepared cherry chipotle sauce into the skillet with the turkey mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure an even coating and cook for another minute until heated through.
05 - Gently warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or the microwave for 10–15 seconds to enhance their pliability for assembly.
06 - Lay a warmed tortilla flat. Layer in the center with shredded lettuce, red cabbage, the seasoned turkey mixture, quartered cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese (if using), and a generous amount of crushed tortilla chips.
07 - Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then fold the top and bottom to create a securely sealed wrap.
08 - For an enhanced crunchy texture, place each assembled wrap seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
09 - Slice the finished wraps in half and serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
